The auction and breakfast were at Victoria Heights B & B – a spectacular venue and the tables were beautifully made up. The kids had a performance prepared as their way of saying thank you – there were not enough tissues.
Another guest speaker Heinrich Terblanche (Ollie) who is in a wheelchair (a famous rugby player who got hurt – he shows everyone that we all have something to give and to be thankful for.
At the auction, one of the items was a Carrot cake donated by Nina’s restaurant to the value of R500 …. The highest bidder gifted the cake to the kids who had carrot cake for the first time…. They were ecstatic but did ask: Tannie waar is die wortels ??
We raise R53 700 who was used to do some urgently work on the houses that the kids can be safe……
What a joy and privilege.
